The Estate Agency business model has been shaken up over the past 5 years by so called ‘disruptors’ of the antiquated model that traditional estate agents offered. Online only models have sprung up in every corner promising the earth but rarely delivering more than the listing that they have been paid for. The traditional model has needed to adapt to more current working methods and with the emergence of some fantastic prop tech now available in the market we feel that there is a new hybrid model that can be adopted to create a dynamic flexible environment for entrepreneurial estate and letting agents to thrive in and create a business to be proud of and still provide the full service to our clients. We work within one of those industries where the best feel like they get stuck within good and bad businesses and almost have no choice other than to start their own agency. This is an expensive and stressful experience and is no longer the only option to create financial freedom and work at your own pace in a growing brand.
What is an Associate?
David Lee was established in 2004 and is a multi-award winning, fast growing, multi discipline estate agency providing sales, lettings and property management with a very active Land & New Homes all headed up by the two founding partners David Kirby and Lee O’Brien. We're currently building our team of Associates across the Herts and Essex region and have been actively speaking to some great people. A David Lee Associate is a business partner, responsible for building a business in a territory, and in return they have the chance to build real wealth and be part of an ambitious company with an uncapped opportunity for progression and personal development. We make managing the business straight forward and highly efficient, so you can focus on your clients and helping them in all their property needs.
As an Associate, you will have complete freedom to manage your time and rate of growth. You’ll be responsible for building your business in your territory and developing your reputation, and the reputation of David Lee.
Your earning potential is truly uncapped. Whether you want a better work-life balance and to manage a smaller territory or to go for massive growth and earnings - we’re here to support you. We expect all Associates to earn at least £50,000 per year, with potential earnings of up to £120,000+.

We have created a fantastic platform and you will be given all of the tools and the back office support you need so you can focus on the important things - selling and letting property, meeting customers and developing our business. We work tirelessly to create the best back office systems and processes to support our Associates, enabling you to work as efficiently as possible and avoid the administration that is required in traditional agency.
Your earning potential is uncapped, but here are some examples of what we would expect you to earn as an Associate. You will benefit from the professional partnerships we have created to provide you with multiple income streams from the various services we offer at David Lee which include Solicitors and Financial Services providers, Surveyors, Energy Assessors, Removals and Van Hire.
What we provide
Training and development
Upon joining David Lee, you will benefit from a 2 week induction that will provide you with all of the tools and skills you need to become a successful Associate. But we don't stop there - we want to develop a world-class team - you will learn from some of the best in the business in social media marketing, personal brand building, negotiation, self-development, photography and much more.
Coaching – you will also have a quarterly personal 1-2-1 session with a professional coach who will challenge you and help you meet your business and personal goals.
Mentoring – you will have a monthly meeting with your mentor who will help you progress with your business plan and implement the tools available to you to get the maximum and work on your own personal wealth building plan.
Development meetings – once per week you will be invited to meet with your fellow associates and the senior team along with directors of the business to discuss current challenges, success and business development opportunities. This is a confidential and trusted peer group that will inspire and assist you in reaching your goals and provide a platform for new ideas we can use to continually progress.
The best software and equipment
We provide you with what you need to run your business, advertising and marketing will be managed centrally for you and we will continually push the David Lee brand to raise awareness and drive enquiries into the business, we will provide you with the tools and skills to successfully establish and build your personal brand as we feel that this is so important to the current consumer. You will have access to our market leading software package ReapIT. Our software is designed around providing the best possible customer experience, whilst also offering maximum efficiency and is available across all devices. We will also give you access to market research tools in order to ensure you are always upto date and a true local expert. Our valuation reporting tool and nurture journeys will assist you by keeping in touch with your clients autonomously throughout their moving journey.
The central office
You will be within easy reach of our state of the are central office and fantastic customer centre ‘The Farm’. This is where your office team is based your hot desk and private client space to hold meetings in should you require a professional space, outside there is also plenty of free parking for you and your clients. The team here are your back up when you're not available, they get to know your clients, available stock and will know the location as well too. They help generate new business through proactive prospecting calls to your database and handling incoming portal enquiries, handle all of your incoming sales leads, arrange viewings, and professionally progress your sales pipeline to ensure you deliver a first-class service to your clients, from start to finish they are an award winning team you can rely on.
‘Change is the only thing that never changes’ – at David Lee, it is important for us to evolve and develop with the times. As systems and technology develop, working remotely becomes ever more possible, and we want to adopt a truly flexible business model. However, it is important as we spend more time out of the office with clients that we do not neglect to build just as strong relationships within the business. At David Lee we hold regular strategy meetings with the senior team and provide business updates, along with an Annual General Meeting held off site. But it’s not all work, with regular social events throughout the year, to celebrate the performance of the business and to get to know the teams better. There will be plenty to get involved with. It is also important to David Lee to remain involved and provide value to our local communities, so there will be a number of charity, sporting and social events you can be involved in.
Back office and administration support
We provide full back office administration support assisting in your compliance requirements (AML), accounts and facilities management so you can focus on doing what you do best and provide an amazing service for your clients. Less admin, far more time to spend on your clients and a chance to create raving fans.

Responsibilities of an Associate
You will have a lead territory defined by postcode, however you can work outside of this area either on your own or on a split fee with the agent who’s lead territory that may be to maintain your relationships with clients that have property in other postcodes managed by other David Lee Associate’s. You will be responsible for maintaining the market share and reputation of yourself and the company.
An Associate will also need to:
· Help support our clients ensuring they receive a first-class service from start to finish.
· Provide honest valuations and carefully considered and timely marketing advice.
· Be a David Lee brand ambassador at all times.
What do we look for?
· Someone who genuinely loves serving customers and is happy to go the extra mile.
· An entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successful.
· Sound knowledge of your local property market.
· At least 3 years’ experience in valuations at either Branch Manager or Senior Valuer level.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Highly organised.
· An overwhelming passion and enthusiasm.
· A commitment to continuous learning and development.
· The ability to easily adopt new technologies and software with ease.
· Driving license and access to own car.
